Context

The British watchmaking industry has been experiencing a renewed period of growth, with increasing interest in domestic manufacturing and craft-led production. However, as the industry rebuilds its workforce, both employers and skilled professionals face a structural challenge: finding one another.

Unlike larger sectors with established recruitment channels, watchmaking is a highly specialised field with a relatively small talent pool. Traditional job platforms often fail to surface relevant opportunities or candidates, making it difficult for employers to locate the right skills and for professionals to discover roles suited to their expertise.

British Watchmakers initiated the Careers Hub platform as part of a broader effort to support the revitalisation of the industry — creating a dedicated digital space where employers and candidates could connect, share opportunities, and strengthen the future talent pipeline for British watchmaking.

PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE

Careers Hub was developed as a monolithic web application designed for reliability and efficient deployment.

AI-ENHANCED TALENT MATCHING
